Happy Anniversary to Us & Going to Lagoon

Wish me luck, I am going to Lagoon today. We try to avoid it as much as possible despite passing it each and every time we visit family in the D.C. The kids love it and I have a feeling it's going to be really fun. I can't wait to go with Maama, the Phelps, the Creers, & the Bunches anyway.

We took the Phelps on Bob Sled last night. Ryan may or may not have gone to an emergency care clinic (he was stiffening up really good and had some gnarly holes in his hands). It was gnarly, but Cici did it, her first mountain bike experience (I know, I am mean!) with an awesome Trek Fuel thanks to the Patster and his ultra-generous parents. No crying was heard, and no one walked any long length of the trail. And it was even pretty dark when we got down. I was laughing so hard afterwards, I think with tons of relief that Cici and Ryan were still speaking to me.

And behold, AK & I have been blissfully married for 11 years. That's like 10x's longer than the Hollywood average, and probably double for normal people too. As I snuggled and kissed the kids this morning, I couldn't think of a better anniversary gift or blessing than our cute and fun kids. To quote Nacho Libre in the movie of the same name, "My life is good...fantastic! Kids, go away. Read some books." Or something to that effect. Gotta let AK go do some work. See ya.
