Dreaming Continued...

This week I came across the May 4, 2007 University of Utah Commencement address by President Thomas S. Monson (President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and proud Utah Man).  It is a copy of a signed copy (it must be a copy of Pat's, who is always wise to ask great speakers for copies of their speeches).  I loved this quote from him:

"Great Men and Women have not been merely dreamers; they have returned from their visions to the practicalities of replacing the airy stones of their dream castles with solid masonry wrought by their hands.  Vision without work is daydreaming.  Work without vision is drudgery.  Vision, coupled with work, will ensure your success."

Even though I graduated from the "U" 9 years prior to this address, and 12 years from this June, it still applies to the dreams I have in my life.  Some have come to fruition and some I am still working on accomplishing.  Some of my dreams are big, and possibly even reaching the stars realm of dreams, and most dreams involve the little things of everyday.

Most of my dreams involve days like these, in places like this, with these little people (and their parents and siblings and aunts and uncles and grandparents).    It's not too bad living the dream, when you realize that you really are.
