Secret to Sleeping Through the Night

You are looking at the secret to sleeping through the night. It's not the darling blanket by Tia Dori, although we love it so, it's the blue flowered PJ's from Cici's Mia and Isabel that is so snuggly and WARM. Warmth is the key. I know you are thinking "hello, it's 104 degrees outside isn't that warm enough for you?". Well, apparently not, because Ms. P wakes up and her little Gymboree short one-piece PJ's (my favorite) are not doing the job, her poor long extremeties are freezing. Well, we happen to have gotten air conditioning this year (say good-bye to the swampy swamp cooler, although we still have to say "hello" since it has not yet been removed from our roof!) and sweet P happens to have the coolest upstairs room in the house (and quite possibly the coldest room in the house, even counting our very chill basement). I just had to document this feat and beginning of a possible experiment. About a month ago she was sleeping through the night, which lasted about 2 weeks, and then once since then, when I noticed she was still at least nicely wrapped up in a blanket (albeit with the fav shorties on). We'll see, but seriously, try it!

In other news, we finally got O a bike as well. They earned a toy from doing so much homework in their Summer Bridge, and I just couldn't put him off any longer. Thank goodness it was only $35 at Wal-Mart since it is the exact same size and type (foot brakes) as H's recently retired clunker, which we were trying to make O ride, but he wasn't having it (and truly, it would not have been fair since he worked his tail off to earn that $25 at the L & B sale!). Here are some pics of Super O riding his new bike and H with his week old ride as well. The cape was from a Super Hero birthday party O attended where upon arrival, everyone received this hand-made cape with their initial and a mask. Terribly clever!

A better picture of the cape, H telling me a story while riding his Diamonback, and O making playdough this morning (thank you Grammy for the recipe!).

Sorry about the wacky photos' sizes, I haven't quite figured that out!

OK, O is hilarious on his bike! What a babe! And H looks way to grown up on that bike. Seriously.

I love those PJs so much! That makes me smile that she is wearing them, but aren't they a little snug with her long legs? Maybe I will try this for Isabel since she woke up, no joke, every HOUR last night. Only for a bit of snuggling and a snack, but STILL. She must/better be doing some mad teething.

PS--I bid on the bike and am winning, but no reserve met. The est. for shipping was $75. A bit steep, but I don't think I will bid too much more and just wait and see.

AJ is now sleeing through the night- and I attribute it to her two fingers she sucks on... I am so much happier in the morning...

Thanks for all your help. PJ was great entertainment... I can't get over her cute, girly voice/cry. :)
