Grateful Sunday

  1. Having possibly the best days of my life yesterday. Getting to actually and really ski with Holden & Owen down Chickadee. Dude, my kids rock. Then coming home to do the switch with AK (so he can do a few flat light, Baldy socked in, but deliciously soft wind blown packed powder runs of his own), and getting to snuggle with P, so yummy. Then, Tia Dori watching the kids (yet again, she rocks!) so AK & I can attend the Saturday night session of Stake Conference (the bomb diggity). Our Stake President is awesome.
  2. Tia Dori. For loving our kids and being an awesome friend with a great book collection to boot!
  3. The power and gift of the Holy Ghost. Which I definitely need to seek more. Especially since one morning this week, I woke up to thinking Katie's voice saying "Annette", so I called her because I thought she might be headed out to work out and something was going to happen to her, so yes, I called her at 5:45 am. I am weird. So yes, I need to get my signals straightened, so to speak.
  4. The very cute and very fun Lorimers. Always inspiring and I love that they hang with the old folks (we are 10 years their senior).
  5. Girls' nights out! Although I think I could have directed and gotten the truly lackluster extras in 27 Dresses, and I didn't like seeing KH all dowdy (I want the glitz and glamour people!), it was fun to eat junk food and kick it with the ladies on Friday night. Next up for the ladies (aka we go see the movies our husbands would rather not see, to put it nicely), Juno.
  6. Kids. Boys. Girls. Getting to play and be a kid again, and/or teaching my kids to do things (ski, bike, snowshoe, etc.) so that I have the awesomest excuse in the world to play and experience these fun things with them. I love our drives up the canyon, where we see all of the beautiful and unexpected colors of the morning sky and snow covered mountains. Looking for ice climbers, animals, the first signs of ski slopes. And having some Utahn-ic (like Phonic) English lessons on the way (we are working on button (not bu-un), or (not er), to (not ta), well (not wool), etc. Gotta love 'em and gotta love being a full-grown lady tom-boy (I can take it!).
  7. See me in action here. I am the one on the yellow banana board and all black. Totally radical.

Love the photos. You look awesome. Thanks again for hangin' at the Ritz for me this weekend although I would hardly call it that chasing the little man! You're the best.

Wow, I am totally impressed by the boarding pictures. What a woman. I think you must have been living vicariously through me since I think I'm the only one who ate ALL the junk food. So when's Juno?

Can't wait to join you on the slopes... even if you board, you still rock.

Nice Powder Shots (less the Powder). You were the fastest learner of that knuckle-dragging, mogul-destroying, baggy-pants wearing sport.
