Utah Utes!

Kate & I Saturday night at the Utah game. So it began with the Sweet Life. An awesome bakery that used to exist in Fashion Island where Katie worked, and therefore it would only be natural that I follow the pattern and at 13 years old, I would begin work there. I would go to work with my bright orange bikini underneath a t-shirt (see through) and get to take home goodies at night. The pattern followed to Spaghetti Factory, attending the U, becoming a Chi-O, and getting elected as an unknown college Freshman to the University's student council (ASUU), since everyone on campus either thought I was Katie (everyone thought we were twins) or recognized the name (as hers). She went on a mission, and I blame her absence for anything that I did those 18 months (not really, at all, it was all on me!!!). She returned and got married to a very cool guy that first attended BYU and then saw the light and came to University of Utah, I then ( actually the night of their reception) met Andy who was attending BYU and would later finish at University of Utah (although only later would I come to find out, he is still blue blooded, oops!), and that I would fall in love with a Mormon guy and get married too. We then would live in the very same Princton house as newlyweds, graduate and even walk together (just like the Creers), and leave graduation day to live in Newport (just like the Creers had done a year earlier). Creepy huh? It goes on and on...She is my big sister, and I follow her everywhere, she introduces me to everyone she knows, and she is awesome. Thanks for being my Utah fan buddy, too!

Insecure Girls

Wow! I finally really really like Justin Bobbie who says it like it is....Audrina is messed up (to put it nicely!). She needs to go back to 6th grade and take a self-esteem class.

Go Utes!

http://scores.espn.go.com/ncf/recap?gameId=283270254

What a season! 12-0. Holden was the kick-off captain. I got to see Uchtdorf in the luxuries and hang out with Dunge on the top floor. I got to be on the field for 2 games. And in the stands for 4. And I never paid for a ticket (mooch award of the year goes to me....who knew?)! I have very generous family members, friends, and neighbors. And met fantastic and crazy Ute fans in the stands. I am hoping for my own seasons one day, but I guess, with all the connections, why start now? Okay, total moochy mooch.

Tonight was awesome. Congratulations to the Utes.

I know this is boring and yes I am abusing the new "post your review on the blog" features on a few sites, but hey, I am still here, and someday soon you may see pictures of me and my lovely hubby and cute kids. It's okay, again, even my own mother told me it was boring (in so many words).

Don't Know What I'd Do Without It

By Boo the Bike Mom from Salt Lake City on 11/13/2008

5out of 5

Gift: No

Pros: Sturdy, Comfortable Ride, Easy to Configure and Adjust, Lightweight

Best Uses: Street Riding

Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist

I simply love my Burley. I typically bike 6-10 miles for a great workout or around town for grocery errands with my 20 month old. Occasionally my BIG 5 year old son or a little friend for my toddler will hop in as well for a quick trip (1-3 miler). My 20-month old even fell peacefully asleep the other day, I couldn't believe it. She loves it!

AK

Fly Fishing

Loves being bossy, not really, he is really good at charades

Fulfills my dream of loving a surfer boy

5 things Andy loves
  1. Fly fishing
  2. Cooking scones, sourdough pancakes, turkeys, baking bread, and making frosting (okay, I don't know how much he loves doing this, or if he is compelled because he would otherwise starve, but he is darn good at 'em).
  3. Surfing
  4. The Lord (he is the total rock in our family, if you don't believe me, you may not know us very well).
  5. His #1 Fan Club (Yours truly, President; Penelope Jane, VP; Holden & Owen, the Hooligans)
5 things on Andy's to-do list
  1. Replace the light switches upstairs.
  2. Finish painting the trim and new doors.
  3. Go fly fishing.
  4. Work meetings
  5. Watch Sportscenter
5 things you may not know about Andy
  1. He loves watching football, basketball, and baseball and almost never misses SportsCenter.
  2. He completed his B.S. at the University of Utah, but since his formative and fun college years were spent at BYU, is a true blue Cougar (which bugs the noggins out of me). Go Utes!
  3. He is fiercely loyal.
  4. He is good at every sport he tries.
  5. He is competitive, but it is totally on the down low, so sssshhhhhh don't tell him.
5 places Andy has lived
  1. Joseph & Lake Oswego, Oregon
  2. Phoenix, Arizona
  3. Provo, Salt Lake City, & Farmington, Utah
  4. Two which shall not be named but rhyme with vryoming and jilsa, sucatoma
  5. Buenos Aires, Argentina
5 quirky things about Andy
  1. He doesn't cheer in public.
  2. He likes to throw away things that are simply in the way.
  3. He is fiercely loyal.
  4. He likes to throw things away (like valuable shoes, sentimental clothing, dishes, etc.). Some things just fit best in 2 categories.
  5. He used to believe that he had to be able to fit all of his belongings in his car. HAAHAAHAAHAAHAAHAA. Then he got married. To me.

5 really, really nice things about Andy
  1. He almost always lets me tag along (fly-fishing, snowboarding, mountain biking, etc.)
  2. He bathes the kids.
  3. He is a great cook and makes us our fancy breakfasts (I just realized he might of been compelled to do this, as my favorite thing used to be to go out to breakfast, now it's for AK to cook breakfast).
  4. He can be seen often taking the kids to the park, on a walk, to a museum, sledding, and more...he is a fantastic father.
  5. I love him to bits and I am quite alright (if a lot bit cocky).
Thanks Sidney for the inspiration.

We had a blast this Halloween season. The kids got lots of good candies and I loved seeing them trading this morning. They got lots of "big ones". P loved being in her costume and she even made it up a few stairs to say "Ga Ga" (thank you) and would take a candy and put it back (which is fine with me since yes, we definitely sneak the candy, and after a few days of letting the kids have one a day, they totally forget about them and the candy is assumed to be part of the emergency kit supply).

No we never procured a camera, which if you know me, is a total shocker since a) I rarely hesitate to buy anything, ever and b) I rarely hesitate to buy anything, ever. I am still hoping that someone got a shot of H as dracula and cute little P waddling around in her kitty costume.

That's the report.

Pray for snow.
