Real Simple Question Thingy

Since I love writing and sharing about marvelous me (so my Dad's daughter) here goes another one...

Bath or shower? Shower, I get bored taking a bath.

* What did you want to be when you were little? Living in a NY penthouse and CEO of a big company (seriously, I started reading Elle & the New Yorker very young, maybe 8)

* What's the one thing you'll never understand? Dinosaurs

* What surprises you most about your adult life? Finally feeling like a real adult at 31. Like being more established/settled than the younger couples in our ward, etc.

* What's your idea of the perfect meal? Having a private party at Wahoo's with all family & close friends (pretty simple right) Fashion Island & Irvine locations come to mind.

* What's the craziest fashion trend or hairstyle you've worn? Perm in elementary school - I mean myself, but I still always think its funny that my brother Matt had a perm in 1980, middle school.

* What amount of money would make you feel you were set for life? 9 Million (it goes up by 3 mill. every year/per housing prices in CDM). Saying that, if we were to stay in SLC, I could do with 3 mill.

* If you could change careers now without any consequences or financial loss, what would you switch to? I'm changing this question to "if I could start a career,"...artist, paint/draw with the studio and eveything.

* The big decision I'm currently wrestling with is... to buy a new infant carseat or not.

Animal Control Call

Yes, today I called the animal control to complain about the darling but incessantly barking & neglected dog next door. I am pretty fed up with it and what kept bugging me is that our room and the baby's room are on the side where the neighbors dogs roam and she will never be able to sleep. Okay, actually I kept thinking, once this baby comes, her crying will be sweet revenge, but I couldn't wait 7 more weeks! Also, this weekend this crazy guy who lives across the street and has been known to yell "Shut up" randomly out into the world at the barking dogs (we do have quite a few in the 'hood) - anyway, he did it this weekend with an "You've got to be kidding me!" and I totally wanted to go out and join him, but Andy was gone, it was late, and I probably was in my PJs (which being in my condition is NOT pretty!). So, I finally called the animal control and asked them what I could do about an incessantly barking dog, and they connected me right to a dispatch! I thought about it this morning since it woke us up for the 345th day in a row (since they moved in) - granted, if it didn't Holden & Owen would probably always be late for school, but still, its annoying. So I come back from working out and I'm thinking its not too bad, get out of my car and the dog seriously did not stop barking for at least 15 minutes. I got in the shower and after it was still barking. AK gave me the okay and I made sure the call was anonymous (although I really am the only one home on our block/maybe street during the day so its a little obvious) but I am hoping they think it's the guy across the street (the yeller). I sound guilty, but honestly since I saw the animal control truck at their house, the dog has not barked! That was a lot for a silly story but I had to remember.

New Babies!

Joseph & Isabel

Isabel was born a few weeks ago, and Joseph last week (I am too lazy to get up, walk two steps, and look at my calendar for the exact dates, so you'll just have to guess). Everyone is doing great! Mia seems all grown up (according to H & O) and is taking good care of baby Isa. She is cute and already seems full of personality (well from the pics), but what do we expect from R2Phelps! The Utah people who haven't seen Joseph Alek live still can't believe how blonde the kid is, too cute! Now its the Utah preggers turns, keep 'em coming. 3 down, 3 to go! By the way, we totally have a name but we are totally keeping it a secret so you down depressor people won't bag and by the time its official it'll be too late for you to be negs. JoJo & Rachel (my readers) I might give you a hint, just because you are the only two readers, etc. By the way, good luck JoJo, its coming up! Andy and I laughed the other day because Andy remarked how we wouldn't be surprised if you called us up and said, hey by the way, we had a baby last week! You are fiercely independent my young sister. We missed you guys at Weston's b-day party. Later.

Knickers!

I had just been totally bragging to CiCi how self-sufficient my kids are, how they get out of the bath & dress themselves for bed, when Holden came out in these "knicker" PJs which are actually size 12 month! Nice!
