I had to note another milestone that I have to say I am very sad about...yesterday H and I did a few afternoon errands and we were going from the car to the shop in a crazy parking lot and I held out my hand for him to take and all I got was air. I realized, yea, he is old enough to cross the street, but the lack of his squishy, little hand in mine made me sad all night (and obviously until morning). We are hitting some big milestones that are making me note how quickly he has grown (like wanting to read by himself, even though I totally made him read with me last night! and more). Just had to note. Busy day ahead starting with skipping my morning run (nice start!) even though I haven't been able to sleep since 5! Not cool.

If I had no respect and/or love for my husband I would so be signing up for this event and going to visit my best friend Lorian...but since I have used up all running & triathlon event "budget" for the year (much like Andy has run out of vacation days) I will have to contemplate the fun for next year. I do love the AK.

By the way...we just got back from Bear Lake where amidst the cooler temps and spotty drizzles the kids had fun at the "beach", I got in a few good mountain bike rides (great climbs!), and we had a blast hosting the Lorimers and their deliciously perfect, sleeping through the night, 4 month old darling Charlie. Charlie alone was almost enough entertainment for PJane, who is ever the handful, but really a giggling delight of tomboyish wonder. It was a great weekend escape. Oh and the cabin remodel is really great! We loved being able to bake in an oven and cook on a real stove top (as opposed to a hot plate!). We can't wait to go back (a few more times this year! Yeah!).
Andy is off to Dallas for the week. Seriously, from tomorrow morning until Friday night (flies in at 8pm!). I am trying to stay positive and brick up my mental fortress to handle the darlings, break free (okay I totally plan on a few hours of babysitting) but you know how I handle this...not so loverly. But this time, it's going to be a breeze...the house will magically become clean and lint free (when has that ever happened), laundry will be put away (as if), meals will be home-made and nutritious (try not to rely on McD's down the street this week), okay, something like that. Shoot for the moon right? If I hit the rooftop I will still feel good.

Last Day of School
Thursday, June 04, 2009
I was so excited last night, I called AK (who was in CA), screamed (it was really late) and searched frantically for our DVD copy of my favorite movie (top 2, but making it closer to #1 as time goes on and I never get sick of it)...that would be the culmination of So You Think You Can Dance and West Side Story. Tyce D'Orio (or Tasty Oreo to me) taught the amazing and challenging choreography to the hopefuls. We have yet to see tonights show, but I just had to share my excitement.

501
See how cute Ashley looks, smiley, birthdayey, cute in her pink. Those security dudes totally checking her out (we tend to really notice the background of photos since the background "naked" triathlete photo surfaced from our Vegas tri.
I am such a nerd. Still struggling with my zipper (one pulls up and it "automatically" unzips, it actually eventually worked). Security guards unfazed and focused.
