Waking up to this...

Don't let the pictures fool you. I woke up this morning to leave at 5:45 for our Master's Swim Class (sounds awesome huh? I did "learn" and actually did 100m of butterfly for the first time today, anyhew) and I couldn't believe the snow streaming from the sky creating a thick 4 inches all over. I would be darned not to go (or something to the effect that Ethel would've said) and so I traded my flip flops for socks and sneaks, threw on my snazzy new coat (and you thought I wouldn't wear it again until next season) and headed out to scrape down the car. I tuned into 96.3 (they just jabber at 5:45 in the morning, its oddly entertaining) and the reports of accidents all over the place, they listed about 10 crash intersections, and then said there are many more, just everywhere basically. Again, thinking to Heck with them (or something similar to what Ethel would've said) and kept sliding along. Although driving a company car sedan, AK tricked it out with Blizzax tires for the season, which supposedly are the bomb diggity of snow tires (and you would know this if you endlessly listened to Sports Radio), so we did well. Got to Kate's, I couldn't believe she was ready to go, and off we went. All was good and cleared up by the time we finished the workout, but a little bitterness trickled along the day having returned to 40 degree walks and actually having to put socks on my kids.

Funny thing about what awesome Master class swimmers Kate and I are becoming. We arrive and the lanes are all full (typical) so Katie leans over to ask the first laner to share and I have seen her swim and am thinking "oh no Kate, she's fast") and then our Coach quickly intercedes and kindly suggests that the fast lady move to the "fast" lane and totally implying (correctly) that Kate and I surely need a "slow lane". We cranked out the workout, and even did our 300m at the end (in 6 minutes!) which is what we will do in the sprint triathlon. Nothing to it.

Little Red Riding Hood update. Click here to register. Let me know if you are doing it and we'll make a party of it.
I am registered for the 62 miler (100km) but the 100 goes all the way to Preston, Idaho which is tempting for all of the Napoleon fan in me. We can change our mind as we go...

Our One Trip Picture

No kidding. We are so lame. This is our only picture representing our 9 day trip to the beach. Woohoo! This is one of many days spent at Big. We did Fashion Island a lot, of course we walked the Island a few times daily. Wahoo's, Stone Fire Grill, Pain du Monde, Dad's, Golden Spoon, not necessarily in that order, repeat 4 times. The ferry was shut down for once a century repairs. P started sitting up and crawling this week. We hung out at the Phelps, in their pool, and at Golden Spoon everyday. We ran into old friends and neighbors and I got to see two of my oldest and dearest friends Lorian and Darcy and missed seeing others (CT!). Late night girls' jacuzzi with Merritt and Cici. Losing a Ryan's precious car BYU flag (see Rachel's blog) and retrieving it in 5:00 Jamboree Road traffic (we took pictures of that!). Watching Isabel and P scream, pull, and cry at each other. Getting Isabel to snuggle with me. Hang out with Maama and Baampa. Walking and biking up to the greatest park ever (Irvine Terrace, where I played as a child, played tennis, soccer, and biked around the "track", just like I get to watch my kids do now, which I tell them everytime we go there! - Bills clan - the infamous place where I "left" Tyson). We got to BBQ in L.A. with the Matt and Kay clan. We arrived safely and quite quickly home. P just wants to sleep in her own bed, even after a long late afternoon nap. And hopefully the boys are asleep now. Good times, good times.

She's Crawling!

It took a year and 5 days, but she's crawling! Just two days ago we noticed she was getting up to a sitting position (she'd be sitting up when we'd come to pick her up out of bed, and I kept thinking, did someone come in and sit her up, or did I leave her like this?). Just a little update...so I can mark the date.

P and I had a wonderfully quiet, whatever we wanted to do, weekend. We hung out with the Phelps and the L.A. crowd (my brother and sister Liz' families). Also the Blakes and Schweickerts. The boys arrived Monday afternoon, when P was feeling ultra father neglect, she would not let go of him! Yesterday I got in a bike ride (backbay to Turtle Rock to Poppy on Ocean to Irvine Terrace to Bayside, for the record) and then we hung out at Fashion Island, ran into old neighbors and spied some high school peeps, Wahoo'd, then headed to the beach for a few hours. AK planned on surfing with H yesterday, but H didn't want to go. We went swimming at Rachel's and H even braved the high diving board a few times (O stuck to the low diving board, thank goodness!) and P loved the kiddie pool (which my kids were envisioning was for kitten kitties not little kids, it was cute). Stone Fire Grill and little Nacho Libre and Ice Castles and quickly to bed.

This morning we've done the Island walk with Dorothy H. and are ready and waiting to go to Irvine Park to ride the train and see some crazy animals. AK is surfing San Onofre. Pictures coming soon...

He Is Risen

I was blessed to have seen the great play at Irvine Stake Center 'Savior of the World' last night. My sister Rachel played a very natural role for her in it, an 'angel'. It was the best start to Easter possible. Thanks Ryan for babysitting P and Rachel for getting me a ticket, last minute!

Read about our Savior here.

My favorite scene.
Act Two, Scene 1, Segment 1.3
(Light rises on Mary Magdalene kneeling at the tomb door. She rises and sings. Some of the Chorus Women have remained on the colonnade and later softly sing with Mary Magdalene.)
MARY MAGDALENEWhere is He who walked with us?Where is He who prayed?Where is He whose voice rang out,“Come forth from the grave”?Where is He who knelt alone,Who for us did bleed?Where is He who gave His lifeFor our cause to plead?
It was He who taught all Galilee,He who fed us by the sea. With a smile He turned His head to say,“Look on me, follow me, Come to me, I am the Way!”Where is He who dried the tearsOf the suff’ring soul?Where is He who stayed our fears,He who made us whole?

CHORUS WOMENHe who healed the broken heart, Ooo...He who calmed the storm,He who came to save us all,Where is He this morn?
(Mary Magdalene returns to the entrance of the tomb and begins to weep.)
[Music cue: “He Is Risen” underscore , ]
(A radiant light, representing the Savior, begins to fill the space.)
MARY MAGDALENE (sensing a presence) : Are you the gardener here?
SAVIOR (voice-over): Woman, why weepest thou? Whom seekest thou?
MARY MAGDALENE (without turning toward Him): Sir, if you have carried him from here, please tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away.
SAVIOR (voice-over): Mary.
MARY MAGDALENE (suddenly turning, rises): Rabboni!
SAVIOR (voice-over): Touch me not, for I have not yet ascended to my Father. But go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God and to your God.50
(Mary Magdalene rises and makes her way out of the garden, which is then transformed into a street. In small groups, angels of all ages fill the stage. Samuel the Lamanite speaks form the colonnade.)
SAMUEL THE LAMANITE: And many graves shall be opened, and shall yield up their dead. And many saints shall appear.51
(As the music ends, all exit.)
NOTES50. See John 20:14–17.51. See Helaman 14:25.

I am grateful to have been born and bred with the knowledge of the life and saving power of our Lord, Jesus Christ. I know that he Lives. I know that the Bible and the Book of Mormon are works of God. I believe in the prophets of God of 'old' and the Prophets brought forth in these Latter Days, beginning with the Prophet Joseph Smith. I know that President Monson is the Prophet on the Earth today. I know the Holy Ghost guides me in my life daily, and I acknowledge this gift of help and wonder. I am grateful for an amazingly organized but also Christ directed gospel in my life. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Happy Easter!

Happy Birthday baby P

February 2008, 11 months

Minutes new...
First bow...one day new...One month...

Blessing Day

Five months...One of my favorites...9 months...

Happy Birthday P! We love your lalalalalas and giggles and "yelling" at the boys. Even your pointing, although quite rude as you will learn, is cute. You love the bath, swinging at Laird, and even sliding down the slides. You are not so sure about the bike trailer we've been trying out this week, but we'll get there. We love your nods for yes and no. You have an affinity for all things dog, which is one of your two words (Dad and Dog, may be interchanged). We can't wait for warm days to show off your awesome long chubby legs and arms and feet that have been hiding all winter. You love to wave hello to everyone, even when they sadly don't even see you saying hello. You love to eat, and lately especially whatever Mom's eating, which is usually something chocolate or equally non-nutritious. Your favorite food is sweet potato, and you prefer vegetables to fruit. You are still rolling around, but mostly sitting up tall or scooching your way around a 3 foot radius circle. You tease us with your almost crawl-like position, but just use it to stretch your long body in reach of something. Lately, you will actually sit and listen to books, and love to look at them and play with them (yeah!). We love your two-middle-fingered "suck and block", which is a sign that you are tired or just plain bored. You quite love to shop, and especially to receive the attention of other people, because you truly think the world is all about you (which is just fine with me). You are the star and princess of the family, and bring the sweetness out of everyone here. I love you.

Holden likes best about P: Her laugh and her suck-in backwards scream (the best way AK could describe it, also known as the 'Attack of the Body Snatcher scream').
Owen likes best about P: Holding her and taking her down the slide.

Seriously, The Gap Stalks Me Part Deux

A giraffe print, skinny strap, empire waist tank for P. Are you kidding me? Who are you and why are you stalking me? Don't you know that P has plenty of clothes for the next 6 months! And that I am headed to So. Cal. and will be "perusing" all things Balboa Island, Fashion Island, South Coast Plaza, and Irvine Spectrum while I am there!

Janie and Jack haunts me too.

Fancy Art Show

A piece of David Meikle's Canyon Color, which hangs in their home. It is truly stunning.

The 'GnomeBearers' of Fred Conlon

Andy and I were honored to be invited to and be able to attend the CNS Art and Soup Artist and Friends preview last night. We loved being offered trays of wine, wherein I absentmindedly waved my hand like I was Obi Wan (saying "These aren't the droids you are looking for") using the force and saying "No thank you". Andy got a kick from that. Best of all We got to see a lot of incredible art, our favorite being from the amazing David Meikle (pronounced like nickle - just for the record). Wow. And don't even think of asking to commission a piece, as he is way backed up, and Lacey (his wife and my friend) might kill me.

As we were browsing we happened upon a most spectacular scene of metal flying pigs, monsters carrying and binding gnomes, and other very cool metal sculptures that I totally want in my yard. The artist Fred Conlon was very friendly and quickly introduced himself, and we later learned is a good friend of the Egbert-Meikles. Check his stuff out here -
Funky art. I am now extra jealous, not only does Lacey have her house full of huge, beautiful Meikle pieces, but she now has a Fred ladybug.

The Amazing MTN

I don't know where I've been, but I'm blaming it on my Google Reader which had 187 new blog posts yesterday, of which I have skimmed through since getting the "easy" computer back from AK's trip to Arizona - and I actually do read them all, scary! But I've missed MTN's, my marvelous sister-in-law's Etsy store site. Check it out. She finds the most amazing fabrics. I am in love with the apple one, I'd love an apron in it, if she will divulge her source? And I happen to know an almost 1 year old beauty who is receiving a doll in the same darling pattern as a gift from MTN. I also highly recommend the announcement stitching for a new born babe's gift. I love the one she made for P. She patiently showed me her craft earlier this year, and I actually made one (or did I just finish it? oh, someday I will catch on...). It is shown above.

Happy Birthday O!!!!!!

This morning eating green pancakes and the piggy cupcakes for his pre-K class.

A few shots from the past year or so...

"Sunbathing" with baby P.

Guitar Hero. Loves it. Watch out and don't be cocky, he will probably beat you (and he only uses his thumb, amazing!)

A few years ago. I love your chewy cheeks.

Osterizer. O-dogg (for D). O. Seriously, I love you, you are my buddy, you are me, you have two levels of voice (loud and silent, no whisper) just like me, you have quite a little temper (like me), funny, sweet with girls and quite a flirt, lowers his voice when talking to a lady, rock star skier - skis through the trees and goes for the jumps, great artist (especially likes watercolors), is never satisfied with a play date or fun activity (this has been occurring for a few months, his grumpy is kind of setting in), really gets his talk on when he gets a one on one walk with either AK or I, loves his big bro, adores little P, loves to show off holding her, still needs a nap, eats very well, loves to get exercise and feel his heart "beeping". I love your freckles (angel kisses), and your cute, self-inflicted overbite (I was a thumb sucker too!), and having to pull out your slurping, sucking thumb in the middle of the night, at least I get to give you one more good night's kiss on your warm, sweaty cheek. I am still trying to find the way to stop the kids from getting bigger. I tried and begged O to stay 4 forever (I love 4, so far it is my favorite age of the kiddos!). He is darling and adorable and still snuggles and is so warm when he wakes up, I want to eat him (but he reminds me that "I won't have an O if I eat him". Happy B-day O. I love you. I can't imagine our family, my life without you.

Grateful Sabbath

  1. Grateful that my boys came home from spring training safely. (That is Arizona's baseball spring training, wherein professional baseball teams play practice games in small, practice fields against one another - I explain because someone thought I sent my kids and AK to like their own spring training, wherein they run laps and stadiums and up and down the beach until they puke - oh sorry, flashback to heck week for v-ball).
  2. Grateful the 'rents are in town and I actually get to see them quite a bit, and we get to have slobbery, "we are so great" meetings (we have very high self-esteem, a strong positive outlook on life, and very high self-esteem, we think we are great! Okay, we know our faults, but we truly try to accentuate the positive and I think have a great ability to forgive (ourselves and others) and forget the negative. Or we are just truly setting ourselves up...
  3. Grateful I got to wake up to my favorite winter-time view of snow clinging to the trees, and getting to laugh that the boys have been swimming and watching baseball games in 80 degrees and what that they were coming back to winter wonderland.
  4. Grateful to have spent a lollygag lerking weekend with my girl P. And I even didn't bail on her to snowboard on a 11" overnight day (I nearly did, but didn't, alright!). We did a lot of driving, reading books, struggling and snuggling at church, REI garage sale madness (twice!), J&M B house sleepover, EQ b-ball final regional game (yes, AK was out of town, although he usually does play, it was a little awkward, but I hung with my lady peeps on both teams - since we were playing the Taylor's ward!), Edgewater house peek, driving, a little Oneity shopping (and then re-discovering her other half closet full of 18-24 month spring/summer collection), and Pei Wei (she loves the spicy!).

Hammering it in, apparently

Please try and picture this...H draws a distressed looking cat (eyebrows "in", frowny lips, actually a very great cat, but distressed) and writes 'heres some drugs' (He doesn't do apostrophes yet). He shows me and I am a little alarmed at first, being confused at his message. He tells me how sad and sick the cat is (representing drug use I presume). Is a distressed cat the new egg frying in the pan for "Say No to Drugs"? & Should I be nervous, he is in first grade for heaven's sake!

More on the art front - Yesterday, H & O presented some stories based on their art for FHE. We talked about Heavenly Father's creations (we went to the park, saw some ducks, you've got to tie it in right, no really this was pre-planned and H assigned himself the day before, as giving the lesson) and he drew two really good, colorful, and totally pre-planned picture of a leg and foot just about to step on a ladybug and another bug and how we need to be careful not to step on creations...and Save the Rainforest. We loved reminding them about Saving the Earth by turning off the lights and eating all of their dinner. Then O added a story and drew an amazing picture of a seed, then cocoon, and a butterfly. It was awesome. Then H drew a dozen more pictures and presented his 'art gallery' in the hallway (who knows when I will have the heart to "take them down"). I was excited. They haven't been utilizing the art drawer like I like them too (which O's pre-K teacher assured me was normal...) Blah, Blah, blog.

Must Read!!!

My sister Megan posted about this site, and I must reiterate here, it is a Must Read! I am even going to call you out and say that Caitlin, someone else who is newly pregnant and I'm not about to out, someone else I can think of who is P.G. but never reads this anyway, and everyone to read his 'The Baby Naming Manifesto: Version 1.0'. He is really funny, and if you've ever read Twilight, or heard about it (my review is that it is Sweet Valley Highish, which I read in 4th grade but entertaining enough, and I like Jacob best for the record), you must read his Twilight take (The Twilight Series for Dummies, And Totally Desperate Mormon Guys. read first and then the Edward one, which is more recent). Have fun.

Grateful Sabbath

Holden, Jane, Makayla, and Giana, and Tim

Taylor, Omeade, Chelsea, Owen, and Chase

Like my new coat?

Adventure Team

H's Team
They did some blue runs with moguls today. His teacher Tim said he was glad to have H in the class with him to keep him "sane" with 3 girls. He can parallel ski and like to tuck and go fast.

O's Team
More of O's Team
O mastered the greens. He really liked his teacher Chelsea (his hair had to be combed perfect, even though he would be wearing a helmet, which AK reminded him of when I wasn't combing it right). He likes going through trees and jumps.

All of you Spring Fever people are going to gag, but we had the best ski/board yesterday. We got to the 'bird and corny snow was falling, but no wind, just evenly and moderately heavily falling. Then it turned into perfect, beautiful, cut-out snowflakes. I am sure a few people thought I was on a hallucinogen because I kept pointing them out on my pant-legs or gloves (hey, it gets very lonely up there!). On a break between snowboarding alone and picking up the boys and doing 5 or 6 chickadee runs with them (baby Thunder was closed by now), I even lied down on a bench outside and let those beautiful, perfect snowflakes fall on my face. It felt wonderful, and I knew it would make the Spring Fever people gag themselves with a spoon.

  1. Fun stuff to do with family. This week we went swimming (H even did laps with me one day!), skiing, to a junior high school Cinderella play, bike ride (not altogether, but each of us at different times), walks, and just plain hanging out.
  2. Temple trips. AK & I did a session on Wednesday night (surprisingly packed!). I am always grateful to feel the peace of going and I do love that we get to go to the SL Temple which is so ornate, beautiful, and stunning.
  3. We can pick stuff up at the warehouse for Steep and Cheap and Whiskey Militia and Backcountry (I believe they are all under the Backcountry.com umbrella) and save on shipping. Even when AK lovingly bought me yet another heart rate monitor, and returned it on the spot (I am stoked with the one I have!).
  4. AK and team F3 won their regional basketball game yesterday. JB even refereed again (no favorites were played). And no fights/brawls/blood/kicks in the face, which is great because team F3 has seen/experienced/and yes, thrown it all.

5 Things...

From Jennie K. O. (I added a few for posterity and because 15 years ago was pretty significant, class of '93)

5 things I was doing 20 years ago:

I was a Seaweed (8th grade) at CDMHS (7-12 grades)
As I look back, I was kind of a mean girl in 7-8 grade and I am going to blame it on a dear mean girl friend C.S.
2nd Year of playing club volleyball with OCVBC.
Playing club soccer as well.
Looking horrible in puberty and starting to love and obsess over Paul Iverson (poor guy!)

5 things I was doing 15 years ago:
Being a senior at CDMHS.
BFF with R.H.
Hanging out with CT and "going out" with HB babe B.K.
Getting excited to go to U of Arizona
Biking Crystal Cove, then running to El Morro, and getting Starbucks almost every morning, when Rob and I weren't at Ruby's or Balboa Bay Club for breakfast.

5 things I was doing 10 years ago:
Living in Newport as a recent college graduate with an awesome first "real" salaried and benefits job at Pacific Life with my hubby of 1.5 years AK.
Missing Rachel, who was soon to be in Spain on her mission.
Living the D.I.N.K. life and loving it! (Double Income No Kids)
Tooling around with the newlywed gang the Jacksons, the Kings, the Creers, the book club people, my PL co-workers, the Hancock-Orozcos, and many other favorite people.
Actually surfing with Andy, weekends at Old Mans, breakfasts at Ruby's, and all of the time getting 1/2 and 1/2's at Wahoo's.

5 things I was doing 5 years ago:
A week away from having Owen.
So grateful to have moved from Wyoming to ANYWHERE.
Just sold our Wyoming house in days and for a profit (a miracle!) and found our awesome home in Farmington, which we would move into on April 1st.
Loving my baby Holden, who was funny and gorgeous with a shock blonde head of hair and a great personality to match.
Getting the Erica monopoly (the 3 days and week and one weekend night babysitter) and paying her to get Holden to walk (at 18 months!)

5 things I was doing 3 years ago:

Hanging in Farmington with my babies H & O.
Tooling around in the ridiculously ostentatious MB wagon (although still my dream car)
AK working in Park City, traveling to Chile, Brazil, etc., loved him using his degree, but hate the hours and commute...thus the pending move to SLC.
Shopping, dressing the house, working out at the Henderson's darling gym, having quite a life

5 Things I was doing a year ago:
Having a great Pirate birthday party for Owen, while weeks away from popping with scheduled delivery of #3 P.
Holding breath for P's healthy and safe delivery and disgustingly nervous since she was the 8th of 8 sibling (including C. Knight) births that year.
Loving kindergartener H, his new reading and writing skills, and his incredible teacher Mrs. Pittam (oh we miss her so)
Being fat and happy (I know still am, gotta love it!)
Enjoying newly finished basement (right? was it done yet?) or realizing that living on one floor/1300 square feet isn't terrible and we couldn't lose anything if we tried!

5 snacks I enjoy:
vanilla yogurt with walnuts and chocolate chips
fruit (I just wish I had this more than the others!)
cookies
brownies
Scottish scones (not the fried kind, but the fatty shortening baked kind, like at Starbucks and Pain du Monde, yum!)

5 things I did yesterday:
Went swimming in the AM with Katie and Maren, then rode the bike trainer for 20 minutes
PTA Meeting
Went to coffee with a few ex-PTA Presidents to get the "Low-Down"
Tried to go to the park with O & P, but we got out to see the ducks and froze, so we went home to nap.
Went to Quarterly Enrichment and met some fun ladies, most of whom like the ice cream Burnt Almond Fudge.

5 jobs I've had:
Bakery Server (The Sweet Life)
Hostess with the Mostest at SPAG
Analytics Coordinator - Remittance, Real Estate Invesments for PL (literally shuttling (wiring) millions of dollars around daily, pretty cool)
Runner/Courier
Sales Analyst Manager for Software Company (way too much money for a lot of golf and some reports thrown in, oh, and an awesome trip to NYC for "work")

5 things I would do with a Million Bucks:
pay off our house
save a couple hundred thousand for retirement
save a couple hundred thousand for the kids
rent a house in Spain, France, Italy, Australia, NZ beaches every summer (different place every summer, every year)
send the kids to Rowmark Academy (where they would ski/board everyday) and then they would be surfing all summer, and of course, Andy and I too!

5 TV shows I like:
PBS travel, documentary, war, music shows (due to the strike and no cable, which may also be due to the strike, I think it ruined T.V. written shows for me, I learned to live without them I guess)
American Idol (although I keep missing it!)
The Today Show
House
I can't think of anything else...

5 things I hate doing:
cleaning the toilet and bathroom
cleaning anything (and it shows)
nagging the husband and kids
seeing my kids grow up too quickly
nagging the husband and kids

5 biggest joys of the moment:
being a mommy
being married to a hottie, who is also an amazing father
serving where I am called to be, and knowing it is right (aka having a testimony of something so good and true and meaningful)
health and a husband willing to work and provide for his family
getting to stay home and be with my kids all day, hearing their stories, playing with them, napping/snuggling with them, and watching them learn and grow (although somewhat painful at the same time)

Enrichment

Guess who is the new Enrichment Counselor in our ward? Guess what image came up as I googled 'enrichment'...hint: it involves my favorite animal? What better way to tap into the bloggy blog world than to ask you all, from NYC to the Holy Land of California and everywhere in between, what your top 3 enrichment experiences/activities have been....GO!

Ode to Patrick and Chelsea

Wow, I am one lucky lady, we are one lucky family. I get to be VT partners with the most awesome, cutest, best dressed lady Chelsea, who brings us goodies she makes for our Visit Teachees, yum!, and then they got to be Owen's nursery teachers a few years' back, and then Patrick and his Dad came and dressed up as Santa and his Elf, Angus, and then Pat watched the boys when I went in for P's delivery, and then AK gets to serve in the EQ with Pat, then AK and Pat start blog fighting over music, and then we really start doing fun things, like playing Scrabble and snowshoeing at night, and I call them while AK is out of town so I can leave a child sleeping and go to the store in peace for a few minutes, and they come right over, and then we laugh at Pat for having such a no good, terrible, horrible, very bad day, and then he comes over on a Friday night (hot wife is out of town), and spends 4+ hours putting my new, awesome bike together (while I watched House, I know, pathetic!) and making it adjusted and fit to just me! These are kids who teach first graders all day (Chelsea) and a full-time Pre-Med student studying for the MCAT and starting a non-profit so he can "play" in Samoa for the summer with some sick people, all while serving as one of two leaders for the moment in Young Women, in the EQ, and they don't just do it, they DO IT with style and real effort and disgustingly selflessly and still have fun! Oh and while training for the SpudMan triathlon (Pat). I want to be Pat and Chelsea when we grow up. (Because despite the 10 or so years difference in age, ahem, more "positive" in our direction, they are far more mature than we will ever be!). By the way, Pat has always reminded me of super sharp, young and ambitious, and sweet suit wearing brother in law Ryan...that's another reason we like them so much.
