GBH II & Testimony

I am so happy that President Hinckley is re-united with his darling Marjorie (and his brother and friend Jesus, Joseph Smith, his fun fellow apostles that preceded him, can't you just imagine this fun reunion?). I am happy his very busy life here on Earth is over and he can rest (hopefully!). I will miss his wit and wisdom and integrity and honor and humility and courage. I am sad in that I hope to be living as he has been guided to instruct me. I think of being prepared (financially, spiritually, and for disaster and such), and I think of being better. I think of his testimony of Joseph Smith, and I have seriously pondered this the last few days, and I am so happy to report that I too have a testimony of Joseph Smith. I know that miracles did not cease with the Apostasy, but returned through the faith and prayers of a young, guidable man. That he saw the Father and the Son, two separate beings, in bodies just like ours (I am reading 'A Marvelous Work and a Wonder' can you tell?). And that he saw the Angel Moroni, who told him where to find the gold plates, and that everything thereafter occurred when it did and how it did for a greater purpose. I am grateful for Joseph's courage and for his life of self-less living to accomplish this greater good. How amazing to live in a time when one that had lived on the Earth, returned from heaven to help people and to show them the right way, through Moroni. I know that miracles occurred through Joseph, just as miracles continue today, and worked through GBH to make him the amazing man he became. I love and know the Book of Mormon to be the word of God, and the Bible to be the word of God. I feel so amazingly blessed to live with this knowledge and in this time that we have all of these tools to live by. Amen.

And is anyone else absolutely unable to get through 'Praise to the Man' like me?

GBH

This article was in the SL Tribune on the 27th. I think it's great.

The wit and wisdom of Hinckley
The Salt Lake Tribune
Article Last Updated: 01/27/2008 11:09:29 PM MST

Posted: 10:51 PM- Asked about the secret of his longevity, Hinckley's favorite reply was: "The idea I try to follow is to go to bed every night and be sure you get up in the morning." In a 1995 interview for "60 Minutes," reporter Mike Wallace said: "There are those who say: 'This is a gerontocracy. . .this is a church run by old men." Hinckley: "Isn't it wonderful to have a man of maturity at the head? A man who isn't blown about by every wind of doctrine?" Wallace: "Absolutely, as long as he's not dotty." Hinckley: "Thank you for the compliment." After Apostle Russell M. Nelson gave a laudatory speech about Hinckley at LDS General Conference in 1997, Hinckley returned to the podium and quipped, "I thought we were conducting General Conference. It's turned out to be a funeral." Hinckley continued: "He's taken extreme liberty. I challenge him to a duel down in the basement of the tabernacle after this session." At the end of the session, Hinckley apparently thought better of the idea. "I've repented," he said. "Thank you for your kind words. We'll postpone the duel." "I am an old man given to meditation and prayer. I would enjoy sitting in a rocker, swallowing prescriptions, listening to soft music, and contemplating
the things of the universe. But such activity offers no challenge and makes no contribution. "I wish to be up and doing. I wish to face each day with resolution and purpose. I wish to use every waking hour to give encouragement to bless those whose burdens are heavy, to build faith and strength of testimony. If in the process I should die on some distant strand while speaking to my friends in the church, it would be better than if I were to spend my days, looking out languidly upon the world without purpose or design." April 5, 1997 When Hinckley was speaking at the National Press Club on March 8, 2000, an audience member wanted to know whether whether God had forgotten about BYU football. "That comes from an alumnus," Hinckley said. "I don't know. I hope not. . .I like to see a winner - I will say that." Interview with Larry King on CNN Dec. 26, 2004, KING: What do you do with temptation? What do you do with it? HINCKLEY: Set it aside. Put it behind. Leave it there. KING: And you've been able to do that all your life. HINCKLEY: I tried to, yes. KING: Were you ever, as a youngster, did you ever stray? HINCKLEY: Oh, I was a natural boy growing up, of course I was. Just a freckled-faced kid. Sure. KING: I'll bet you were. HINCKLEY: Sure. KING: I'll bet you had a little rascal in you. HINCKLEY: Sure I did. KING: OK. It's good to know ...

Grateful Sundee

Prepping the gear the night before, goofy boys!
  1. Realizing yet another dream come true. Owen and Holden started the Snowbird 6-Week adventure camp yesterday. They were soooooo excited! Holden kept waking up (at 4:09 he reported, and the again and then again and then it was time). They got new Under Armor shirts from Norda's (that Holden is still wearing). As previously reported I spied on Owen and he was loving it, got to wear his favorite camo-pants for long underwear (he wanted nothing to do with "long underwear"), loved his tator tots (they didn't even know what they were, they kept describing them as these round things), met some new friends, fell a lot, and needed a nap (just like his Mamma). H went through the race flags, loved his grilled cheese lunch, and DID NOT want to stop skiing.
  2. My darling, sweet, incredibly hard working husband who happily cared for a sick P (as I was leaving to go, I went in her room to kiss her good-bye and she had barfed all over her bed!), took her on a cool walk (she loved being outside, even in the cold!), and didn't get too upset by my valet parking, restaurant lunching, boarding day!
  3. My mom for taking care of me Thursday when I had a flu-bug and didn't feel good at all. The kids loved being with Maama and all of our laundry was lovingly folded and socks were even miraculously matched! She is amazing!
  4. Hanging out with Megan and the gang in Park City, yet not doing a very good job at our "Sundance Celebrity Watch" (I was too busy schmoozing for the banana board and making sure the kids didn't destroy Norda's).
  5. Dallin H. Oaks' Good, Better, Best talk which I had the opportunity to re-read and study a bit in preparation for today's lesson in R.G.
  6. For re-finding a "new" awesome scripture this week: Alma 27:18. Here's 17 & 18 when Ammon was leading the people of Anti-Nephi-Lehi to safety and meets up with Alma:
"Now the joy of Ammon was so great even that he was full; yea, he was swallowed up in the joy of his God, even to the exhausting of his strength; and he fell again to the earth. 18. Now was not this exceeding joy? Behold, this is joy which none receiveth save it be the truly penitent and humble seeker of happiness."

I told this and the story of Ammon the arm chopper to O again and again during a rest afternoon this week. I know that Heavenly Father wants us to be happy, but we have to want and seek and try to be happy too. Awesome huh?

Alta is for Skiers

Thanks to AK's good connections I got to ride this, the banana skate board from Lib Tech yesterday (It was bright yellow and looked like a banana complete with the sticker - the kids loved it). It was awesome and there may be no going back (as AK begrudgingly realized when I schmoozed the board from Mike). It was good. I challenged myself to some steeps and got scared witless at one. I would like to begin a campaign to make Snowbird a snowboarding only resort. It used to be the snowboarders stopping in the middle of runs and sitting on their bums, but yesterday I got super antsy at lots and lots and lots of skier-people just hanging out in the middle of a gully or narrow run. Especially going alone, I don't want to sit on my bum in the cold snow and chit chat away (that is what the seats on the Plaza are for) I just want to GO! And so should you instead of gabbing away about your newest curse words and calling me "Dude" (I still want a sign that says something to the effect of "Give some respect Punk, I could be your mother!" although the "infractions" yesterday were more from 20-30 somethings. But there was darling para-palegic skiing I got chatting with on the Plaza (it was cool to find out where he goes and how he does it) and the 70+ Aussie dude rocking the slopes on vacation. I wanted to chat to the blind skier with the dog guide that really liked my kids (even though we correctly ignored it as we were supposed to!) but maybe next time. And nothing in the world beat seeing Owen ski for the first time, getting super teary every time I peeked in one him (and spying on him saying "That was fun" even as his teacher said something about him falling and he was still loving it. It was a dream come true. Also, even though I left and cruised through Snowbird Center with two bawling kids (one occasionally hitting and saying "You are the MEANEST!" and having a total meltdown and fit in front of the Valet park line (yes I valet parked and even admitted it to AK). I was secretly totally thrilled because the reason why is he actually didn't want to leave, he wanted to keep skiing! The other kid was really tired. I think they both just needed the Snickers bars I gave them for a sweet, peaceful, mellow, beautiful ride home in which we all were able to relish in the fine day. It was really spectacularly amazing. Packed powder, sunny and warm, and I even got to lunch with my dear friend Villi.

So here is my plea: Mark your calendar to come ski (I won't bite your head off, I just had to get it out there) or snowboard with me in 2 weeks (I am going to let AK handle the drama next week). OR you can be my sponsor and front me $740 to go to Snowboard Camp and I can meet some friends to go with. I am pretty sure I made a plea for this last year.

Google Reader, Knicker-Bibs, & Steep and Cheap

Knicker-Bib

Steep and Cheap is an awesome deal of the moment for outdoorsey stuff that both AK and I check at least 10 times a day. Although I begged to buy a pair of beautiful K2 skis complete with bindings for $200 a few days ago (brand spankin-new by the way, which were discounted from about $1200 and yes, I ski too!), we did get a Big Agnes Mummy bag and sleeping pad for $150 not too long ago (AK already has one, and I have never had my own bag). I didn't get a chance to see the knicker-bibs though. It's stuff from backcountry.com (another awesome gear store that in located in the SLC and we've got some connections to (cousins and Chip's lady). There is also a deal of the moment site Whiskey Militia, but I see AK took it out of the tool bar, because I think the sunglasses, watches, and gear are a little too edgy-cool for us. By the way, the knicker-bib shown above can be purchased at backcountryoutlet.com for $69.97 (30% savings!). Hurry, there are only XL's left - Mom I think you should get one for Dad to wear while riding his cruiser on the island - it's sooooo hip!

Who here is using Google Reader? And who is not? It is mandatory and the awesomest. Since I am way too lazy, Rachel, will you please do a tutorial (in all of your non-triathlon training time and two kid OC mom busyness)!

Top of the Morning to You

No words.

Yesterday morning after an AWESOME dumping of snow. Yes, Rachel I said dumping. I should have taken a picture post-shorts n' shovel where you could see at least a foot and a half along the sidewalks. I seriously made Andy go snowboarding today - one of us had to go.

Where in the World is Penelope?

The boys called this P's "Guitar Hero" hair do.

For the record, this was last Sunday, the last day in our old ward and building (they kicked us out last week and told us all to find our own denomination since I think they've just given up on us!).

Totally busted - going over the precious, yummy smelling, French-imported doll, for the ball.

I was starting to expect Rachel to call in to a tabloid and ask them to report 'Where in the World is Penelope?' along the lines of Shiloh and Suri. I am happy to report P is cuter than ever. Talking nonsense, waving, clapping, sort of sometimes blowing kisses, giving kisses, scooching on her bum, yelling at the boys (like right now in fact), wanting to eat big kid food and at least feed herself, loving attention by all and especially Aunties, Uncles, cousins, grand-rents, and great Grandpa, and willingly giving her two toothed smile to all (except if you have facial hair-like cousin Carl (and look-alike Captain Jack) then she will like to keep a constant wary eye on you).

Toul Haus Pie

Toul Haus Pie
1 frozen pie crust
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup melted butter
2 eggs
1/2 cup flour
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans
Whipped Cream & or Ice Cream

Pre-heat over to 325. Combine sugars; add melted butter, eggs, and flour. Mix well to thin batter. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans. Pour into pie crust. Place on a baking sheet (I forgot to do this, oops, and it spilled over and make a gross smoky mess!). Bake at 325 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes. The crust will harden up, looking lovely and like a giant cookie, and the inside is nice and chocolatey and gooey. Top with whipped cream and/or ice cream and serve.

Eat and be roly poly and jolly like me!

The name is kind of weird since I have heard of blog/etsy egomaniacs that are threatening to sue if you have posted or attempted to sell or distribute something they might have done or heard of before. Hoo Hoo!

Grateful Sunday

More elk from Hardware Ranch (see blog below). Just so beautiful I had to re-visit (not that I saw it live or anything - bitter - maybe just a little).

Saturday snow sledding with the Nally kiddos.

Morgan taking the jump.

O & J illegally snow ball fighting (so busted!).

  1. I am grateful that Grammy & Grandpa & the Nallys (sans Dad) came up to visit from their warm, beautiful, citrus growing homes in Arizona. We are all so sad they left a day early due to weather concerns, so they missed Temple Square, Gateway, Millcreek snow hike, & going to church with us to further confuse the newly combined ward, & of course, Sunday dinner! We loved having them come and will miss them all.
  2. I am so grateful for incredibly healthy kids. H was seriously complaining of having a hard time breathing, well that it felt like someone punching him (uhhmmmm?). We headed to the Doctor and ended up at Primary Children's getting X-Rays of his perfectly healthy and gorgeous chest bones, heart, kidneys. He loved every minute of it! While I was near hysteria! Immediately after our "fun" visit to Radiology, he was amped to go swimming at Weston's fun birthday party.
  3. The excited anticipation of going to a "new" chapel (it's actually quite gorgeously older, with some newish retro-fittings) with our new addition of another ward. Our ward was great and fun but we were desperate for 8-18 year olds (We had 3 teenage girls, and now will have 18! Yea! We had 2 young men, and I saw at least 4 helping to clear out the old building just yesterday!. And we will actually have more than 1 kid in Senior Primary!) I am so happy our ward stayed intact and that I will get to see all the familiar faces plus new ones!
  4. Knowing and feeling that this abrupt change in our Stake (Area Church Family) was meant to be and sincerely prayed for and counseled about by amazing people. And seriously, as AK would say, it's not about what ward you are in, it's about the gospel (or something practical and Andy-like that).
  5. Hot socks, owls (I finished the green one and almost have the 2nd one finished Trev!), new Flagstaff purchased snow clothes for Arizona kids, beef stew, sourdough pancakes, the Mayan fest, snowmobiling for Dad & son, sledding boys making friends, animal cookies, caramel apples & being with family. Code for Knights & Nallys.

Tagged

AK & his Dad snowmobiling at Hardware Ranch on Friday. Those are gorgeous elk in the background!

My one and only. Yes, thanks to TJ (& P&G), we have life insurance.

Yea! I am catching up on my blog reading (Blog Reader people, get it, it's awesome, but then again you will realize how many blogs you keep tabs on (51) and realize you no longer have time fort the occasional blog stalk) and I saw this on Maren's site and it's the perfect antecdote for no newly downloaded pictures worth sharing or fun stories.

On this history of AK & I

How long have you been together?
fall of 1996

How long did you date? about 5 months of dating and 5 months of engagement. yep, a quickie.

How old is he? 34 (but he's often found saying he's 40, just like in his 20's he would say 30)

Who eats more? definitely me, but he can eat donuts everyday and still weighs the same as the day we were married.

Who said "I love you" first? AK. I even caught him calling me "My Love" in spanish. I totally remember that, where I was, and totally pretending like I had no idea what he said.

Who is taller? AK (he use to be 6'3, but now he says 6'2???)

Who sings better? AK for shizzle

Who is smarter? Seriously debatable, I should say AK and be really nice and non-competitive, but when we were in school, we took a few classes and I am pretty sure I aced him. Although now all I deal and read in is stuff on E! and People Magazine and Sesame Street type stuff and he talks to Docs all day and listens to "intelligent" (another seriously debatable point) radio, etc.

Who does the laundry? Unfortunately, all me (which is why pounds of it are sitting on the couch and floor)

Who does the dishes? pretty 50/50. he usually does it at night and I empty and fill in the morning and all day.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? I sleep closest to the bathroom, we switch it around from east to west, but I've always need to be closest to the potty.

Who pays the bills? Moi.

Who mows the lawn? AK

Who cooks dinner? About 60/40 Me/AK. Breakfast is 90/10 AK/Boo.

Who is more stubborn? AK

Who kissed who first? It was pretty much a mutual decision.

Who asked who out? I totally asked him out. (And even first for a ride to Provo to retrieve some keys I'd left)

Who proposed? Josh, I mean AK (by some seriously Josh-persuasion!)

Who is more sensitive? AK

Who has more friends? Me

Who has more siblings? I do, but only by 1.

wears the pants in the relationship? totally depends on what the situation is...mostly me though (I am way too good of getting my way, ask my parents!)

Who are you tagging? Oh dear, Kate, Olsen girls, Liz J., Rachel

Early Grateful Sunday

Sledding Trip pictures from a few weeks ago, but totally worth revisiting!

The Daddy of All Trains
The Hottest Scone Maker (& Sledding Picture Taker) EVER! Seriously.

Grateful Sunday Bit
  1. That my parents took me skiing when I was a kid. They even dropped us in lessons, at Deer Valley for heaven's sake. I can totally remember my first "pies". I loved and remember fondly our Easter vacations up there skiing the groomers with my sisters and bombing straight down hills. The sport enable me to even ski "locally" at Big Bear with best friends Ami F., Lorian, Dani F., & even Austin (a very memorable Weir suburban sliding off a mountain trip). And to Mammoth with the Schweickerts. And now has provided me with one of my proudest Mommy days (when H took his first lesson at Alta) & continuing outdoor adventures. I remember skiing in powder with AK at Powder Mountain way back in the day ('96) and officially decided to convert to snowboarding after watching him float through the powder. I still have and ride (to my utter disdain) the board bought in '97, but the boots have been replaced (although I wore them yesterday sledding!). To learn, AK took me to the top of the Tram and basically said "Go!". I guess it worked. So thanks M & D for all those fun and memorable ski trips.
  2. Snow, snow and more snow. Now that I've had a day of sunshine, I think I would prefer our luck of more snow rather than winter inversion any day.
  3. H's new drive to do his chores for tickets! I don't exactly know what he's after but his bed is made, his room is clean, and he's a non-stop helping machine. And he got earned his Orange belt in Tae Kwon Do yesterday (and a black stripe to boot for rocking the test!).
  4. O's freckles and overall charm and happy disposition.
  5. P's goodbye and hello waves and her second Mommy way of chewing out the boys. For totally loving dogs (one bigger dog loved her so much it placed it's tennis ball right in her lap, for her to throw!) and loving her first sledding day (she didn't exactly go down any hills, just pulling her across Bonneville in H's lap).
  6. AK for totally upping me on "How To Get a Line Cutter to the Back of the Line".

I've Got My Rad Back

All it took was an epic snowboarding morning at the 'Bird. Got 6 great runs in, rode on a conveyer belt through a mountain (to Mineral), froze my bumbie (I wore the wrong jacket, I needed the powder jacket!), realized how much powder I really did get this morning as it became more tracked out, got more stoked, started slipping on the Chip's transition groomers, became even more grateful for helmets and decided I must be getting tired, the sun finally broke through, sat for a moment eating my AK made ham sandwich and relished my great day, and now it's Andy's turn.

Admitting, It's been a S.A.D. Week

The good things about not leaving your house except for Visiting Teaching interview (13 minutes), Visiting Teaching (2.15 hours), going to bug sister (2.65 hours), and music class at said sister's church (56 minutes), plus drive thru Molcasalsa (I was STARVING!), is that I only spent $4.95 this week (on the said Molcasalsa Bean & Cheese & Diet Coke - gross I know, but really so good). No trips to Costco, Wally World, Harmon's, Dan's, Albertson's, they must be wondering where I am. I have been spinning in the comforts of my home on my trainer (I finally figured out that I needed my iPod to really get me moving! and simulating a "real" spin class), which is so funny for my kids who don't get it at all why I am not moving but look super funny spinning my legs like crazy and asking for water every 5 minutes. I have been dying to go snowshoeing and even snowboarding tomorrow, but with snowshoeing I haven't quite the knowledge to know if P's face will freeze if I put her in the backpack, and for the first snowboarding session of the year (pathetic I know, but I swear, it's what 3 kids does to you, which I wouldn't trade for the world by the way), I don't want to go alone.

These are the boys and S right now, brains turning to oatmeal watching Shrek the Third for the 23rd time.

C'Mon and Settle Already

Finally admitting T.V. boredom. I have never in my life watched 'Antique Roadshow' and now I am kind of into it. I feel pathetic. So I had some fun with this cool site for awhile, I hope it's the real deal. Thanks to LOTD for the link.

The Gap Stalks Me

I swear the Gap (and J. Crew for that matter) stalk me and figure out just what my soft spot is (embroidery, flowers, pink, polka dots, cute onesies, embroidery, stitched on stuff, overalls, tights, anything, you get the picture) and hits me in the spot when I least have the budget for additional and very unnecessary clothes for any of us (well since I have been wearing the same BR skirt for almost 10 years, and just suffered it's first rip I might be in the market when the budget returns). Too much information, but the Gap is killing me! And saltwater sandals! This dress and the tights and the sandals makes me almost actually want to teach her to walk...but not quite. She is scooching around though, using her little baby Einstein tower thing as a walker - quite clever that little one. And I'll bet Liz J. is thinking "Oh Brother, there goes Annette on her campaign against the Gap and all things/companies that treat people like slaves again"...yeah, I am a flip flopper...but I haven't bought anything yet...

Frozen Cheese Whiz

It's 5:30 pm and I am craving a Diet Coke. But I am telling myself, if I drink this DC I will be up at 3:00-5:30 am twiddling my thumbs, or doing some serious blog stalking (since I am all caught up in reader), or fake (hopefully) online shopping. Also, I just did a really dumb thing. You know the Cheese Whiz soup, well AK is out tonight being a darling brother to his little sister as she buys a car, and so I thought to de-freeze the last (I think! wow this soup made a lot) bit of it. It's quite a large chunk in the ziplock and I am talking on the phone and so I just put the whole thing, plastic bag and all in the pot on the stove. Until I smell burning plastic, yum! Have I ruined my pot? So excruciatingly peel off the plastic, stick it in a huge ceramic bowl (I am super paranoid about microwaving plastic bags, bowls, etc.) and defrost for like 20 minutes and it's still quite solid and chill.

What is the best way to freeze and then de-frost soup people? Seriously, I need help. I remember once a woman told me a method and it totally made sense, actually one of my 'ah-ha' moments that I have totally forgotten.

Also, I broke a plate yesterday. I swear all is good in my universe though, I just thought I'd mention it.

Grateful Sundee

  1. Prayer - specifically Annette P.'s Relief Gang prayer that blessed the "teacher with calmness" and something else that realized she must really know I am a spaz and DO NOT LIKE speaking in front of others. I was chillin'. It still looked like everyone in the decent crowd was like "huh", but I only sweated through my G's in 5 regions of my body instead of it totally dripping down my face (like the previous time I spoke in church). Seriously, it was her prayer.
  2. Weather Radar - AK and Matt have been glued and I've been all - dudes, this storm is totally going to peter out by the time it gets to us. Within the hour of the Stayner's taking off for California, it started blizzard-like DUMPING. They just missed the storm, otherwise poor Kay would've been stuck here at least another day (I know what's it like to want to be HOME).
  3. Going snowshoeing with my brother. I wish we could've gone again. It was so nice to chat and really talk out there in the stunning beauty of Millcreek with the perfect winter cover. And I got to duplicate the experience with my sister-in-law on the same beautiful afternoon.
  4. My favorite gift that I finally used on Friday - my bike trainer. It is awesome! P thinks it's really odd, and O can't believe I am not going anywhere but riding so hard. H wanted to try it, and although he is getting so "all growns up" he couldn't quite reach.
  5. The day you realize, with a spouses' shared tear, how your 6 year old is all growns up. He was really listening in F & T today, saying "Amen" and laughing and just being all sit up straight and all growns up. What a babe.

Keys

I was responding via a comment to this clever blog (from one of many of O's previous teachers, I just had a thought, do you think that is a coincidence, I just subbed their class and it was delightful - in a my own kid is crazy when I am around kind of way). Back to keys. As some of you may know, and siblings can attest and relate, I both have very important key stories and I lose mine all of the time. My most recent key adventure happened yesterday. I was headed to Tae Kwon Do with Holden and planning on being picked up by AK and the fam to head down to the OSF for Zachary's birthday dinner, when my darling friend Audrey popped by to see if H needed a ride. We all hopped into her van and set off. A few minutes into class my phone rings and AK asks if I have his awesome company car keys (hee hee, sorry for the dig, it does have Blizzax though) and I totally deny having them as I am digging through my own black hole, all the while telling AK where they MUST be (which I am usually pretty good at, which you would be super surprised at all of my "organized" clutter, read: mess), and where the spare is, when my fingers feel a familiar set of keys, and then my eyes spy another set of familiar keys, and I say "uhOh" as AK hangs up. I could tell he was bugged, but I knew he never hangs up on me, it was just he was looking and thought we were all done helping each other right? Anyway, I call him back and tell him the awesome news. The bummer is my brother and his family are blocked by his car and they are all in the freezing car ready to go. I apologize profusely and realize they will have to wait another 1/2 hour or so until TKD is done and Audry can take us home. As I was relaying the bad news I had an idea. I hang up and call Kate. And long story not as long as it could be, she is able to drop by the TKD shop and pick up the keys and then drop them off at our house saving the day and getting everyone to OSF on time (well, we were a little late, but just in time to order, perfect!).

Keys, keys, keys. A little over a year ago I spent $150 and a new window screen to get into my locked house. AK was out of town and none too pleased. Our windows are super tough though, I seriously tried to kick a basement window in.

I'll save the "way to get a very shy guy to give you a ride to Provo for a friend-in-commons concert, thus getting to know him better and be able to call him for subsequent "hanging's out" in the future" for our anniversary, or maybe I've already blogged about it?
